The house actually looks better than the pictures!! The kitchen had all the cooking supplies we needed! The house also felt extremely warm and home like! I would definitely recommend this place! The only thing I will note is that there are steep stairs leading up to the door. I didn’t have a problem with it, but my older family members struggled a little. Also, I would recommend having a smaller vehicle so that you can fit in the provided garage. The general parking closest to the house is pretty tight. You won’t regret booking this place!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the penthouse on the bay! This spot is a prime location for a beach vacation! Very convent location for... read more shops and activities. The garage parking situation was as described in other reviews - tight but ok for a small car. Street parking was manageable. The only issue we encountered was with the oven. It frequently would shut off during use. The owners quickly sent a repairman who showed us how to slam the door to get it to turn back on. Unfortunately the problem persisted for the rest of the stay but we were able to get it to work - just needed to be monitored closely for shut offs. We would definitely stay here again!

Kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to make meals. Clean, fresh, and modern beachy feel helps you settle into the ambiance of a vacation spot. No AC but lots of windows to open to get a comfortable breeze circulating with the ceiling fans on. The beach in front was a little busy during the weekend but not enough to discourage you to go enjoy the sand and water. We didn’t use the kayak and stand up boards but it was nice to know that option is provided by host. Great amount of kids sand toys and life jackets. The hosts were very responsive and friendly. Restaurants and shopping are within a 10-15 drive. We had a great time no issues with rental or host.

The amenities inside (kitchen, bathrooms, towels, linen’s, washer and dryer, etc.) and outside (sand toys, kayaks, SUPS, beach chairs, etc.) are plentiful and in good condition. We are able to pack light because we know this place has all you need. It’s hard to park in the garage if you have anything other than a small sedan, but we just pull down the drive to load and unload, then find parking on the street. Street parking has always been relatively easy for us considering the area and that finding parking with street sweeping days is just a part of life by the beach and in cities. Chris and Jill are very responsive if you have any questions.

You can watch the sunrise on the bay side out of the windows and you can walk to the other side of the street to the open ocean and see beautiful sunsets! We had a good, relaxing time.

Things to know: The alley to the house is narrow; you can fit a small car in the garage, but you cannot park in front of the garage. The furnace wouldn't turn on initially; we got it to work by pushing the thermostat switch back & forth many times (new furnace; contact may be dusty or need calibration.) There is an extremely steep descending staircase next to MBR. From the master BR, we could clearly hear people talking but it was outdoors not another unit so it was never for long. The checkout instructions required stripping the beds. The drawer under the side-by-side doors can be a fridge OR a freezer; be aware of which before you use it.
